Stapi Lífeyrissjóður is the public pension fund based in Akureyri, Iceland. Established in 2005, the pension fund provides retirement, survival, and death benefits to the residents of Akureyri and is in charge of the operation of Akureyri Municipal Employees’ Pension Fund. The fund also provides mandatory as well as voluntary pension schemes. The assets of the fund are managed by the board of directors.
